NC-SEN: Dems continue to look for candidates

The Greensboro News & Record reports that, despite North Carolina Republican Senator Richard Burr being high on the national Democratic Party's target list, state Democrats have yet to find an obviously compelling candidate to put up against him. Although some candidates have declared their intention to run, the News & Record suggests they may lack the combination of name recognition and fundraising ability that is required, while potential candidates that might have possessed those qualities have opted not to run. Hopes are reportedly being pinned on one of those individuals - such as state senator Cal Cunningham - having a late change of heart.
